Touring The Park District

We woke up early this morning. Ariana & I wanted to walk around the parks south of the Navy Pier. We walked about four miles today. Breakfast was at a local Italian eatery near the John Hancock building. Ariana had sausage, eggs, & french toast. I had some hash browns and a bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich. Since I have been trying to watch what I eat I thought my breakfast wasn't diet friendly. That's why I'm glad I walked around the city to burn all those calories off. After breakfast we decided to do some geocaching in the parks. We saw some pretty cool sites and grabbed a lot of cool pictures. at 12:07pm we decided to grab some lunch at Subway and head off to the Chicago History Museum. The admission was $14.00 each but it was free today and we enjoyed our stay. The coolest thing we learned is that the Chicago fire in 1871 was caused by a cow tipping over a candle in a barn. We left the museum at 5:45pm and headed back to the hotel to relax for a bit. Before we went out to dinner we stopped at the bookstore around the corner. We head back home tomorrow. We enjoyed our short stay to Chicago and this was our third time coming here. We look forward to future trips to the windy city in the future.

Geocaching In The Windy City

Because of the time change I woke up at 6:00am. That is pretty early while i'm on vacation. The only problem is I couldn't go back to sleep so I got up threw some clothes on and went out to do some geocaching, It lets me exlpore new cities and I get a chance to walk around and get some excercise. While I was about .20 miles away from the hotel Ariana called me & asked if I coud come back to the hotel so we could go together. I was a little shocked because she usually sleeps in until 10:00am to 11:00am while were on vacation. I turned around to get her. We managed to find about 10 geocaches and walked about 3 miles. After we were done we started to watch the Browns game but turned it off when we relized it was a waste of time watching them. I bet either Mayfield High School or Hillsdale High School could beat them at this point. We grabbed the lap top and headed to the bookstore around the corner.
